Clay Cooley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram - DONT PURCHASE FROM CLAY COOLEY
I had the worst experience with clay cooley dealership. I went in on New Years day 2019. Asked for a Chris Howell, well Chris was with a customer so he sent us Breena Stoner. I told Breena that we had a pre approval letter from Capital One(capital one listed them as the dealership tp buy from)I also told her I was there to look at a used SUV and was told that the specific SUV was sold the Saturday before. So she asked what I was looking for in a vehicle. SO I specified I wanted a back up camera, Bluetooth and 3rd row seating. So she brings out a 2018 dodge journey and we go for a test drive. It had a 3rd row and back up camera. I asked if it had Bluetooth, she stated it did. After the test drive we go and she works her numbers. She comes back with the numbers and monthly payment. Well the payments were high and I told her id rather look into something used. Well she said that the bank would only allow us to purchase a new vehicle. So we think about it and I thought ok it has everything I want and its a new vehicle so why not. Well we go to financing and I noticed they added an extra $3k for warranty. Which was not told and was just added. I kept only because we would eventually need cause it is a dodge. ok so we go home with a new 2018 dodge journey. We are happy as can be, until we try to connect my phone to the Bluetooth.... NO BLUETOOTH FOUND!! That same night I was on their website and noticed that the price was $18,948(we paid $25k), i emailed her regarding the price difference and no response. So the next day I call her the next day and she said she'd call me back in 10 minutes... 4 hours passed and still nothing, so I drive over there to get her to connect my phone to the Bluetooth(I forgot to tell her about the price difference) so Again she was with a customer so would come to me asap. 30 mins later and still nothing. SO my husband and I left as he had something to do. The next day i make my husband call the dealership to tell them what happened with the car experience. They tell my husband what can they do take make up and so he tells them tint, gas and oil changes. SO they agree. So 3 days later i go(on a Saturday) to get the tint done, well they turn me away. They say come back Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So my husband takes Wednesday morning and they turn him away too. Finally I got fed up and went to the sales manager Pedro and told him that i was fed up and didn't want the truck after all. Well his response was that I needed to call Capital One and do a voluntary repossession. Of course we couldn't do that because that would ruin my husbands credit. I have learned from this bad experience to do my research before purchasing a vehicle, Make sure that all my wants are actually on the vehicle. OH AND GUESS WHAT?! THE USED VEHICLE WAS NOT SOLD AND WAS STILL ON THE LOT on JANUARY 17, 2019. I WAS LIED TO and CHEATED. DO NOT BUY FROM CLAY COOLEY!!!

I totally agree , currently attempting to be patient until after Christmas signing with my attorney to proceed in fraud, contract tampering, unlawfully giving legal advice that is incorrect, forgery of documents, running credit when the person isn't even aware their credit is being run nor did they give consent, acting in bad faith allowing an obvious sick person to continue becoming physically and mentally ill so that when papers are finally prepared they are just confused and ready to leave that they sign. stacking contracts with unneeded or requested ins , warranties, false promises regarding future trade ins oh and the actual value resale value of your new purchase. oh gosh Id be glad to tell my three vehicle contract nightmare with Clay Cooley and lets not forget the back alley lenders whom continue to fund them and allow the back needed treachery to continue and not even lift a finger to assist the consumer in any way make things right. referring them back into the hands that swindled them in the first place , shame on them too. Totally dismissing agreements to rewind and hold harmless agreements my list long thick and documented , not organized but non the less its all there from start to finish. Oh beware if trade in and car isn't paid off make sure they pay it off cause Tow Truck drivers will repo cars from the lots because they don't pay them off and its your on the hook and credit is dinged lender gets all frilly with you even though you have never missed a payment previous not even a late payment until after your trade and or contract was rewound or was re-written. Never mind where is my refund for my non authorized vehicle warranties , missing gap insurance , missing money for my trade in and where did that extra money for my deposit run off to cause its not on the contract you sent the lender but its on my carbine copies ?? Oh my so many issues I have 3 contracts that were not valid due to signatures and not to mention my spouse never even signed for credit check or his vehicle for that matter. I was told I legally could have it ran for him no problem as long as I had his info handy , didn't even have to check with him first, (we do that kind of thing all the time no problem at all). That is a law and against the law buddy. I think that's a nice brief description , I am happy to sing my story to who ever and where ever as long as they are stopped. By the way Yes I work in Auto finance field I can tell you my finance company does not do business with this dealer and for moral and good reasons , should there be a shift to change that I will stop at nothing to see that it doesn't happen just sayin. And we don't leave our loan holders hanging especially if they call and point out obvious things that are documented or missing on our contracts , we send notices to have them correct the issues , rewind rewrite or send the check back they received for the car. And if they continue with the s-Uckery of cheating consumers ties are broken completely. If lenders don't fund their contracts dealerships well will dry up and fail. Stop funding these demon evil dealerships out to pray on good hardworking and in some cases ill or desperate , young not familiar with the industry etc. If you have been burned and want them held responsible it takes 5 or more for a class action law suit , I will be glad to add your info when I meet with lawyers over the next few weeks , and if you have your own already I would ask the same, they must be held accountable and the lenders who keep on giving them the write to write their contracts for them, and refuse to do their job as YOUR Lender not the dealerships. They cant keep getting away Scott free either.

In February I purchased a Jeep Grande Cherokee from Clay Cooley. I called on Friday 9/29/2017 and spoke to Chris because my oil needed to be changed and my engine light has been on. He stated that my car would be ready on Saturday. When I called on Saturday at 4 pm they said my car hadn't even been looked at and it wouldn't be looked at until Monday which meant I was unable to get a rental until then which I understood. Because of this, I had to pick up my car. When I brought it in on Monday morning, they told me that my car was being looked at on Saturday but because I insisted on picking it up, they stopped which is complete ***. They also claimed that they had already changed my oil, which they hadn't. I pay them for 2 warranties, maintenance and Bumper to Bumper. Instead of apologizing for their mistakes they continued to blame me, including the manager. The only Clay Cooley I will use again is Volkswagen in Richardson.

Saw their Internet ad. Spoke to a salesman and made the deal over the phone. Drove 3 hours and the brand new vehicle had all of a sudden been wrecked so we found another one just like it but $500 more than the original. We agreed to pay the difference. The manager came out and wanted more money. Then miraculously the original car wasn't wrecked anymore but they wanted to keep the $500 overage from the 2nd one. We left and will NEVER do business with them and will tell every person I come in contact with what liars they are!!!!

Blatantly disrespected by the "Assistant Service Manager" Shade Haddox in Irving and most of his team

I have a 2004 Chrysler Convertible Sebring and lost my main keys with the key faub last week. My spare keys let me drive the car but don't disable the alarm so every time the door is opened it goes off for a minute and a half. I googled Chrysler dealors and this one came up so I called and explain the situation. The representative asked if I could bring the car to him first then he would have to see if he could help. I agreed and asked him his name he said it was Shade and that I should ask for him. I said I could be there within the next 30 minutes and asked if that was okay. He said as long as I was in there within an hour it would. I then drove 20 minutes to the location (arriving at 4:30pm). Pulled up, left my car on and pulled myself out of the window as to be courteous and not let the alarm go off. I walked in and there were only two worker one young girl dressed like she was going to an outside festival with her head down in her cell phone and another male in a suit looking at his desk facing the window to which I past as I was walking up. He could definitely see me in his peripheral vision but neither of them bothered to look up. I stood there for 5 minutes walking back and forth until I had to say excuse me. He girl looked startled and just looked at me. I asked if they were still open and that I had called earlier and that Shade said I should come and ask for him. She looked bewildered and said she would try to find him for me. She wondered around then finally came back about 5 minutes later (in between which another technician looking young guy just walked up to me, looked me up and down like I was in his way, then I had took the inniative to step aside - he didn't even say one word - a hello, nor an excuse me). She said that he went on a test drive with another vehicle. I asked where I should wait and she just looked around confused and said "I don't care". I said my car was on outside so I was going to wait by it. Another 15 minutes past when an african american male walked by and asked if I wanted to buy a car, then another technician finally walked by (as did many) but he asked if I had been helped yet. I said I was waiting for a guy named Shade. He said confidently that he would find him for me. He came back a few short minutes later and said he was in a big red charger and he should be returning soon. 10 minutes later I saw the charger drive past me into the service area. A caucasian male got out and another man (likely the client) came up and they talked for 5 minutes. He handed him the key and the client drove off. During this whole time there was - what looked like a bored technician - standing outside leaned against the side of the wall. Then Shade and him began to talk right in front of me. I wanted to give them some time but then the male representative point to Shade and mouthed- that's him. So I walked up to Shade and introduced myself letting him know I was the one who called earlier. He looked me up and down, like he was annoyed I had interrupted his conversation. Then he said he wanted to see my keys. I said they were in the car which was running to prevent the alarm from having to go off until it was necessary. It was only a few steps away. He said he would be with me in a few minutes. 45 minutes later he was still talking to the same guy but had moved further away from me. I then began to call other Chevrolet dealers round 6pm and got one very close to me that gave me a price quote and a time frame with an appointment at 7:00am the next morning. Thankfully, they were professional and courteous as soon as I pulled up a representative Jeff Jutzi and Don Davis Auto Group in Arlington, TX took care of all I needed and more within an hour. After I obtained the appointment with Jeff, I walked back up to Shade (having to interrupt his conversation again) and asked "So are you going to help me?", He said I could "take my car and just go!". I then walked inside and said how I was treated by the service side was completely unexceptable, I was ignored for over an hour with blantant disregard and still not even a glimpse on if they could help at all. I then walked out and opened my door. My alarm, of course, went off and I let it so they could see how I felt. Reflecting, I still don't know what was going on, I don't know if it was because I am a black woman or if they thought I was a low-life. Specifically, how Shade Haddox at the Clay Cooley 700 E. Airport Frwy in Irving location was horrible to me. He looked at me with distain then disregard. And he was the one who asked to come up there without even assuring that he would do anything but he said he would look at it. After and hour and a half the never did and then just told me to "Go!". I am in my mid-twenties and I have never felt to disrespected in my life. I felt like I was in the 1920's on the side of the tracks where I didn't belong but the irony was that there were other nationalities. Or I felt like I was a communist. I don't know what was Shade's deal, if he was having a bad day and/or I was the wrong color, and/or I really did interrupt twice his serious conversation. Hey- maybe I really am Casper- the friendly ghost. How I was treated was completely unexceptable and there are not explaination nor is there an excuse for it. Mr. Haddox has the title on his business card as an Assistant Service Manager. He acted like the leader of a street gang pimp ring and I was a *** he once wanted then he all of a sudden thought annoying. Absolutely, the worst experience I have ever had and I work in the service field. Shade had no decency at all.
